Kalani Cardiology Mobile Application
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This section describes the privacy practices applicable to the Kalani Cardiology mobile application (“App”), provided by Kalani Cardiology.
Purpose of the App
The Kalani Cardiology App provides patients and other users with convenient access to information about our cardiology practice, including information about our services, physician information, office contact information, directions, and links to our website and patient portal.
The App is intended to provide general practice information and convenient access to external services. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Information Collected by the App
The Kalani Cardiology App does not require users to create an account or sign in directly to the App.
The App does not intentionally collect, store, or transmit medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, passwords, payment information, or other protected health information directly through the App.
The App may use standard functionality provided by the user’s device or operating system when a user chooses to initiate an action, such as making a telephone call, opening a website, viewing directions, or accessing the patient portal.
Patient Portal
The App includes a link to the Kalani Cardiology patient portal. Selecting the Patient Portal option opens an external patient portal provided through Healow/eClinicalWorks.
Authentication, medical information, appointment information, messages, and other information entered or accessed through the patient portal are handled by the patient portal provider and are not collected or stored directly by the Kalani Cardiology App.
Users should review the privacy policies and terms applicable to the patient portal before submitting personal or medical information through that service.
External Websites and Services
The App may provide links or access to third-party services, including the Kalani Cardiology website, the patient portal, mapping/directions services, and telephone functionality.
When a user leaves the App or uses a third-party service, that service may collect information according to its own privacy policy and terms. Kalani Cardiology does not control the privacy practices of third-party services.
Health and Medical Information
The informational content available within the App is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute individualized medical advice.
Users should contact a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical questions or concerns. In the event of a medical emergency, users should call 911 or seek appropriate emergency medical care.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed or directed specifically toward children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Data Security
Kalani Cardiology takes reasonable measures to protect information under its control. Because the App primarily provides informational content and links to external services, information submitted through third-party websites or services is subject to the security practices of those providers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable requirements, or our privacy practices. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
